Aleppo Shriners News March/April 2012

A few years ago Colors Sergeant German Garcia,Jr., while having his pet "Germi" groomed at the Fancytails Dog grooming studio, explained to owner Joann Camilli about Shriners International, what we do, and various ways we raise funds for our Children's Hospitals including collecting pull-tabs.  Since then Camilli has been collecting pull-tabs almost to an "addiction"(her words), to the extent that she picks cans up from the ground or anytime she sees one, even at public functions.  She was at a fundraiser once, and walked around to the tables taking the tabs off the cans, only to be stared at by the attendees.  When she was given the opportunity to explain why, all of the people removed the tabs, and she retrieved them. Camilli also got her friends, customers, and colleagues Darlene St.Marie, and Cindy Agosto to help her in this endeavor which they are still pursuing.
